Department of Orthodontics

The undergraduate training begins from second year BDS onwards. The course contains a didactic, practical and clinical component. The student learns the art of basic wire bending skills, fabrication of removable appliance wire components, clinical examination of the patients and supplementary diagnostic procedures.

The department offers a postgraduate training course of three years. The course is designed to prepare students for a career in teaching, research and practice in the speciality of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopaedics
